The humans and the animals enjoyed your visit! Though we both could only wonder at where you get the energy to cope with those two very VERY cute little people, and we had to have a lie down to think about it ;)

A day trip?! Wow, I really wish there's a nice place nearby with lots of yarn stores for me to zip in & out like that!

(Different Alison here) It's very very bad for a dog working in public to snatch food. I understand why he was upset. Plus chocolate is toxic to dogs.

Oh, Hahn is our Ryanair airport as well! Take the bus for Luxemburg next time, and let's go for a four-country yarn-crawl!

Sounds like a wonderful day, made me feel quite envious! and I love the story about the dog too!

I did exactly the same in german yarn shops - I was so overcome by the quantity of self-striping sockyarn I managed to return wool-less.

Sounds like a great day. My oldest daughter is in Europe visiting my brother and I have her on the lookout for sock yarn. She is also taking advantage of RyanAir's sales to go to Ireland. I'll tell her to watch out for the candy snatching German Shepherds (US for Alsation!). We had one when I was a teen who could sniff out MnM's (or any sweets!) no matter where you hid them. When my sister was in military training and the drug dogs were brought into the barracks for a routine search, she was terrified that they (German Shepherds of course) would sniff out the contraban bag of MnM's she had hidden in her locker. Luckily they didn't consider chocolate a drug so she didn't get caught!

PPS - Love the pic of you all at the top. I've been by here in the last few weeks, but always following links and have been brought down directly to the entiries, so I missed it. What a great family photo!

Hey, Kerrie, what a great time it was yesterday, even if it was brief and there wasn't much yarn shopping. It was a delight meeting you - you are adorable! ;0) Thanks so much for flying over to meet me. We'll HAVE to do it again next time I'm on your side of the Atlantic.
(PS - watch your mailbox for German yarn goodies!)
