That site was pointed out to me recently and it's fabulous! I have used lots of other sited explanations, but she uses the simple mantra "Same off, opposite on" and that makes it totally easy! Check it out!

The socks look great! Your spun fiber looks great also--such a fantastic mix of fibers

I struggled with the Kitchener stitch til Ilearned that I have to be on my own somewhere I can talk to myself. I then sit there going Knitwise, Purlwise, Purlwise, Knitwise to myself. Yesterday for the first time I Kitchenered a sock without having to look up how to get started!

Kerrie I wouldn't worry too much about Cam's speech since he has an older sibling. My mother said I was slow to speak clearly because I had two older sisters who understood everything I babbled, and passed on the translation - hee!

I wouldn't worry about Cam's talking, this is common when a baby has an older sibling. My mother said I was delayed in speaking clearly because I had two older sisters who understood everything I babbled. They would say, "Oh she wants a drink (or whatever)."

I think Jaywalkers would be great in that yarn and the pattern is really easy to follow. Your hubby sounds just like mine regarding knitting for him. I'm going to just go for it anyway as I decided that everyone in the family would receive a pair of handknitted socks for birthdays this year (whether they like it or not!) Cute little photo of Brooke.
