Dyeing course - part 1
The dyeing class went really well on Sunday, everyone had a great time and just look at the beautiful yarns they dyed between them? Thanks to Lisa for stepping up and taking the pics when I realised I'd left my camera at home.
I'll be updating the site later with some new handspun yarns, a reminder about the cashmere club and the dates for the next dyeing class.

These were all dyed in the same pot using the same colours of dye. I'm intrigued by the way that they all take the colours differently and come out looking similar but not the same. Beautiful.. I'm thinking of putting together some shawl kits that would use the different textures and colours in one garment for a truly individual look.

Clubs and Contests
I hope you have all enjoyed the long weekend that we have had, the weather here in London has been lovely and sunny so its been a real treat for us.
The website has been updated again with some new handspun yarn by the talented Hello Mango, see?
I have also added 2 pages that are currently linked from the side bar of the blog. They are the competition page and the Cashmere Club page
The competition is an exciting one, a selection of entries will be on display at the Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace this October and the cashmere club is going to be such fun. You need to sign up quickly to the cashmere club as there are only 20 places available and I think that they will sell out quickly. You will receive 100g of cashmere yarn in either lace, sock or aran weight at the beginning of May, June and July in an exclusive colour with a free pattern. Let me know if you think a similar club for our silk yarn would be of interest and I will see what I can work out. Update
The website has been updated and its a bumper update this morning, 32 new colours of aran weight silk, 4 new cashmere sock yarn shades and 10 new laceweight silk colours. I'm sure that there is something there for everyone..
Thanks to everyone who came to visit us at Olympia last week. It was lovely to meet so many customers or blog readers! I still have a backlog of custom dye orders from the show but I should be finished with those in a couple of days. Do let me know if I can custom dye any yarn for you, the price is the same as for the regular colours that are on the website.
Course update, the dyeing course is now sold out and there are just 2 places left on the spinning course. Future dates are being planned for another dyeing course, just drop me an email if you have a preference as to dates.
I just spent the weekend dyeing some gorgeous new yarns that arrived with us just before Olympia. If any of you are coming along to the open day on Saturday you'll get to see, stroke and squeeze them for yourselves. Gorgeous, I tell you, just gorgeous.
