I mean it this time, this is the LAST HipKnits shop update before the baby. Really. Unless the baby is very late that is in which case I might find time to squeeze some more dyeing in!

Resting? Hmmm
New colours for the site next week depending on whether or not baby has put in an appearance by then. Lots and lots more where these came from, don't you just love them?

Hannah's shawls
This is what happens when you come into the shop to show us shawls that you've knitted with our yarns, we take your photo and put you on the website!
Lovely Hannah popped in earlier in the week to show us these 2 beautiful shawls. The first was made with 2 skeins of Schaeffer Elaine, she cast on 3 stitches and increased at each end of evey row before casting off. It was HUGE, even after making tucks along the cast off edge to bring it in it measures around 90 inches from corner to corner. Gorgeous. I love these colours!
Then this beauty was made from 1 skein of the novelty silk laceweight, how pretty is that? Made the same way this one has a row of double crochet along the cast off edge. Close up anyone? Perfect, thanks for sharing them Hannah!

New cashmere sock yarn

Lady of Leisure
I'm quite enjoying this resting on the sofa malarky! I have wireless internet and daytime TV, who could ask for more. I'm not being quite as good as I should be, I spent the morning dyeing just one last wholesale order yesterday and having a spring clean of the shop but on the whole I'm learning to be pretty good at letting other people help me out where I need it.
I just updated the site with lots of goodies, this WILL be the last big update for a few weeks, I'll be sneaking little bits on here and there when I get the chance but for now go and see all the lovely new shades of silk and bargains we have. There are over 30 new shades of Schaefer Anne sock yarn and a similar amount of Schaefer Elaine which is a beautiful chunky weight yarn - enough in one skein to make a shawl or extra warm scarf. New alpaca silk yarn in just a couple of shades, some more cashmere sock yarn and just a few bits on the sale page.
