Mission Tank

 

Size - 2 (3) (4) years


Materials - 2 (2) (4) skeins of Mission Falls 1824 cotton or wool. I used different colours for the front and back. Any other yarn that knits to gauge. 1 pair of 4mm needles.


Measurements - length = (29) (32cm) (35) width = (21) (24cm) (27)


Gauge - 20 stitches and 29 rows over 10cm stocking stitch with 4mm needles

Directions.


Using 4mm needles, cast on 44 (50) (56) stitches and work 4 rows in garter stitch. Beginning with a K row work 42 (50) (58) rows in stocking stitch ending with WS row.

Eyelets - K2 (y fwd K2 tog) repeat work in brackets to last 2 stitches. K2

Beginning with a P row work 3 rows in stocking stitch ending with a P row
Cast off 3 (3) (4) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
Beginning with a K row work 18 (20) (22) rows in stocking stitch.
K 7 (7) (9) stitches and turn. Working on these stitches work 10 (11) (12) rows in stocking stitch. Cast off
Join yarn to main piece of work and cast off middle stitches leaving 7 (7) (9) stitches. Working on these stitches and beginning with a P row work 11 rows in stocking stitch. Cast off

Make 2nd piece in the same way using 2nd colour yarn.

Join shoulder seams and side seams, block as per instructions on ball band.
