A couple of things have come to light with regard to my techy problems. Apparantly the mt comments script is in breach of my hosts terms and conditions or something so they disabled the script (didn't actually tell me as far as I can work out) and then locked my ftp account. Ho hum. Now I'm negotiating to get it back, should be sorted out soon enough..
In good news though I have broadband access sorted out today. Hurray! The belated MagKnits newsletters will be going out this afternoon - all 3 of them. If you're not on the notify list then check the site sometime around 7pm UK time and you should see them on the newsletter page..
Happy Knitting
Jen came to visit at the weekend and we had a great time. She stayed for 2 nights and you'd be impressed at the amount of knitting we managed to get done! I do have photos but they are just the same as her one (funny that seeing as Wayne stood in front of us with both cameras in his hand) so go to her site and see how we looked!
I made a scarf out of the new R2 yarn braid. The yardage is rubbish, only 16 metre per 50g skein but 3 skeins made a fantastic long skinny scarf. I also managed to make a scarf out of Biggy Print and a new wrap / shawl type thing which I'm writing up the pattern for now and will show you later in the week.
Do you want an update on the whole technical problems around here? OK, broadband is set up and my laptop and router were sent back to work to be repaired but still are not working. Also, my site is still messed up as I cant get my FTP access sorted to try and work out how to resolve it. Its not a lot of fun around here when it comes to techy stuff I can tell you.. Don't give up on me though, I will get it sorted.

Snow story
Its kind of odd posting here knowing that no-one can comment but hey, I'll keep talking as long as you'll keep listening! I know what the problem is with the comments but on this slow slow dialup that I'm using I cant get FTP access so cant do anything about it. Poo. So for a while you'll have to just remain silent (I know that is hard for some of you but stick with me, OK?)
Wayne and I decided to go out for dinner last night so we headed off to Cafe Uno at about 7pm. We're lucky to have such good kids because this is about 30 minutes before the bedtime routine starts at home but they were both so well behaved all the time we were out. Mr C sat at the table in his car seat quite happilly until he got hungry (2 minutes after I finished my main course - good timing there..) and I fed him and then he sat on Wayne's lap until it was time to go. Brooke is always well behaved when you take her out, I love seeing her sitting all grown up at the table eating pasta / garlic bread and ice cream. Love you Brooke!
The night was already fantastic when Wayne looked out of the window and suggested that the rain that had been with us all day was turning to snow. 10 minutes later it was snowing heavilly and as we left to walk to the car it was beginning to settle. Brooke was so excited! All the christmas decorations were up in the street, we could hear church bells in the background and it was snowing heavilly enough to make her green duffle coat have a white layer by the time we got to the car. Cameron's first sight of snow! Or at least it would have been if he wasn't dozing by that point!
Of course this morning it has all but gone. There is a little remaining on the roofs of some of the houses near us and Brooke is upstairs now hatching a plot to climb up the houses and scrape off enough snow for a snowman. I think we'll have to just wait until next time it snows!

Help!
I have no idea what is going on with my comments! I copied over the template from Top B girl which are working but they just don't seem to be co-operating over here. Minimal MT knowledge plus slow dialup means that I cant work out how to fix it yet. :( If anyone has any ideas please email me...

New sweater alert
This is Mr C's new sweater. You can see the detail of the little dog logo here, isn't it cute? I made it to fit a 6 month old but it looks OK on him now. He weighed in at 16 pounds 3 last week so he's well on his way to being a 6 month old already! Now if only we could persuade him that it wouldn't be the end of the world to drink milk from a bottle we'd be doing OK...
Just because I think its a cute photo, I thought I'd share this one with you. Brooke took it yesterday on our way out of the door. He looks frighteningly grown up don't you think?

Insane
So obviously I'm totally insane. There is no other option. I'm sure that I posted about christmas presents and a picture of some mittens last week but it has gone. So maybe I didn't save it. I can't find it in MT so it really is gone, totally crazy..
Anyway, I'll try not to do that again!! Lots going on here at the moment (apart from the insanity) I've just about finished my Christmas shopping and started my Christmas knitting. I was trying to decide whether to make teddies / ponchos or mittens as gifts for the children on my christmas list but I think I'll make some of each. I won't be able to show you photos until after Christmas though as some of the parents read here..
What else? I'm halfway through Gypsy number 3, this one is for my mum. Number 2 went to Wayne's mum at the end of Sept. I've just finished a new jumper that the young man is wearing at the moment, photos tomorrow. This one is my own design and I'm trying to get the pattern organised enough to offer for sale. Its an aran weight sweater, with sizes from 6 months to 3 years at the moment but I want to get the pattern sized up for up to 4 years I think. I used Rowan All Seasons cotton for mine and I just adore him in it, its so snuggly..
Provided that I can get my unbearably slow dialup connection to work tomorrow I'll upload the photos to show you. Oh, provided also that I don't mysteriously lose this entry at the same time. Fingers crossed...

Hey Jojo!
Back on dad's PC this morning.. The kids and I watch this program on one of the cartoon channels called JoJo's circus. At the end there is a song that goes something like this
Hey Jojo what do you say?
We all want to know what you've learned today
We're all here so come and take it away
Step right up and tell us what you learned today
Its the kind of song that sticks in your head. Here's what I learned yesterday. Dont take your husband, children, friends and their 3 year old daughter into Hatfield forest one hour before dusk and then decide to go off the track and through the trees unless you are VERY VERY SURE that you know how to get out of the forest. Even though the girls thought it was one big adventure as it became too dark to see anything at all the adults were getting more and more worried. In the end we saw a light through the trees and headed towards it to find ourselves the only car left in the car park. Not recommended. Especially on Halloween!
Mr C wasn't smiling this much throughout that hour I can tell you!!
